“We were first introduced to All Care Jersey Ltd by the States of Jersey.
We were looking to have a week’s holiday, which unfortunately we nearly had to cancel due to the fact we were unable to find respite cover for our disabled daughter. It was suggested that perhaps All Care Jersey could send carers to care for our daughter in our own home. We would say our initial reaction was very negative as we were adamant we did not want strangers in our house and felt this would be a total invasion of our privacy. How wrong we were…..
We were introduced to Julie and a young carer whom our daughter took to straightaway. They were both friendly, open and honest but above all, totally professional in the way they visited our home to carry out risk assessments, check out equipment, find out our daughter’s needs etc. On meeting them and speaking with them it was clear to us that the best way for us to ensure we had a great holiday, but also ensuring that our daughter was safe and happy (obviously the most important thing), was to have carers for our daughter at home. In this way very little to our daughter’s daily routine would change as she was in her own environment.
We went on holiday knowing that our daughter was happy, safe and being well cared for by someone of a similar age to her. We kept in touch over the course of the week and at no time did we ever feel we had done the wrong thing – we totally trusted the carers involved and to be honest had a totally relaxing holiday.
We would recommend the services of All Care Jersey Ltd to anyone considering using a Care Agency. They are friendly, caring, loving and totally professional in their approach. We have used their services on other occasions since our last holiday and will definitely plan to use them again in future.
They certainly turned our negative thoughts into positive thoughts.”Mrs M
All Care Jersey came to assess a family member who has dementia and recognized straight away her needs and suggested a care plan.
‘Her girls’ soon built up a friendship with her and were sensitive to her requirements as her moods changed daily.
The staff went beyond their duties and if passing her house would call in if they saw something out of the ordinary.
I would recommend All Care if you want to keep your independence in your own home but with the reassurance of back up by caring staff.Mr G
We would like to wholeheartedly thank All Care for caring for our daughter at home, whilst we were on a holiday recently.
The fact that All Care have been providing us with excellent respite care in our home for the past 18 months, meant that we could leave knowing that she was in the best of hands, as she had her small regular team of carers around her who know her so well. Also, we thank you for providing us with the staff rota for the time we were away, before we left. This gave us peace of mind that our daughter was being cared for by her regular carers, it also meant that we could phone home to speak to a specific member of staff, which we did on one occasion to check all was well, and was able to speak to our daughter.
During the weekends, our daughter was taken out and about in the community, making the most of the sunny weather that Jersey was having, it was good to know that she was having a good time as well as us. Too often, we feel respite is regarded as ‘making sure the client is safe, clean and fed’, we feel that respite should mean that the client is also having a break from his/her regular carers, and is able to enjoy activities in the community, and comes back home having had an enjoyable time.
As you know, we asked to be kept informed by email about how things were at home, but your thoughtful staff went beyond that as they emailed us a photo of our daughter looking extremely happy indeed, plus when our dog visited home they took a photo of him and sent it on to us, knowing that we would be missing him too!
On arriving home, it was clear that our daughter had been happy and content for the time we had been away, because as you know, when she is unhappy or stressed she resorts to self harming behaviours, she looked well and was extremely happy, and didn’t stop smiling until it was time for bed, hours later!Mrs M, St B
